Looking for a message on WhatsApp but can’t find it? Soon, you won’t have to look hard to find the message. Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp has rolled an exciting feature that will allow users to quickly skip to a particular date within a chat.
According to a report from WABetaInfo, with the most recent WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.24.0.77 upgrade, some beta testers can use this functionality in their chats and groups.

If a calendar icon appears, your WhatsApp account has the feature enabled. In the upcoming weeks, the feature will be made available to more users, according to the report.
How to use the feature?
As seen above (follow white arrow), a calendar icon will show up inside a chat when looking for a message. From this icon, select a certain date, and now you can start reading all messages from that exact date. To come out of the date view, simply scroll through the conversation.
Further, WhatsApp has recently rolled out a couple of more exciting features…
Message Yourself
Users can utilize this feature to send messages to themselves. Users can use this to keep track of their to-do lists, send meeting notes, reminders etc. To access the feature, users will have to click on the new chat option on the top right corner of the WhatsApp home screen and they’ll be able to see Message Yourself option.
Profile Picture in Group Chats
WhatsApp also released a feature in which the profile picture of the sender accompanies the text bubble in a group chat. This makes it easier to recognize the sender in large groups. Currently the feature is only available on iOS devices.
